Ruben Palacios is a cinematographer, director of photography, and camera operator based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He specializes in MōVI handheld stabilization gimbal technology and other innovative camera moving tools, certified through AbelCine in Burbank, California and ARRI Academy camera system training program based in Munich Germany.
His dedication to creating the perfect shot and bringing people’s vision to life is what he strives for. His passion for filmmaking started in 2010, when he worked as a co-host producing and broadcasting infomercials with Telemundo NBC Universal Bay Area, creating product advertisements for a local company.
This motivated him into pursuing a career in filmmaking. He attended De Anza College where he received an Associates in Arts Degree plus a Certificate of Advanced Achievement in Film and Television Production as well as a second Associates in Arts in Liberal Arts. Ruben Palacios is a recognized member of the (SOC) Society of Camera Operators and an active member of (SMPTE) Society of Motion Pictures and Television Engineers that has worked in a variety of corporate films, documentaries, short narrative films, along with music videos and events.
